Distinguished Tacoma organist Mark Brombaugh presents a splendid program of music spanning the Renaissance through to the current day on the two-manual Fritts organ Opus 6 (1987) at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Seattle. This is the first solo concert recital to feature this beautiful instrument in many years. The organ is important in the oeuvre of Paul Fritts and Co., and the firm have recently reworked the tone-generating parts of the reed pipes throughout the organ in an ongoing update of the organ.
Tickets are $18 general/$10 for seniors and students, and free for children under the age of twelve. A portion of the proceeds supports nonprofit relief of immigrants, as well as families experiencing food- and housing-insecurity.
